Joints, the joint is firm enough and stable. We present wood joining methods from a historical perspective, as well as the latest technological methods using CNC machines. A great deal of emphasis is put on the quality of any joint, as joints may be the local source of fire development, in the event of a fire, because they may collapse.

Book 2020cted lengthwise using various types of joint. The parameters of the experiment, as well as the setting, material criteria and evaluation criteria are described in detail. The results confirm that the joint type used has an impact on the selected evaluation criteria and thus also on the potential spread of fire. .

In addition, this chapter describes the apparatus and the evaluation criteria, which indicate the suitability of the joint on a wooden façade.
