A Distributed-Parameter Approach to Model Galvanic and Capacitive Coupling for Intra-body Communicatlar signal. In order to depict that skin impedance, the model is based on the major electro-physiological properties of the skin, which also allows a personalized model. Simulation results have been successfully compared with several published results, thus showing the tuning capability of the model to different experimental conditions.

Activity Recognition Using Smartphones and Wearable Wireless Body Sensor Networksaccelerometers, worn on the waist and the shank, and a wireless heart rate monitor. Data are transmitted via Bluetooth to a smartphone, annotated and analyzed to recognize user activity. WISE platform architecture is described along with recognition accuracy performed by multiple classifiers.
