Education and Well-Being,ive and to generate greater income. The educational sector is key in the promotion of skills and the provision of knowledge for well-being; however, by focusing too much in generating human capital the education sector risks reducing its potential impact on well-being.

Corruption and Weak Institutions,ly associated to people’s satisfaction with life. Latin Americans are also used to pay bribes to public officers and this seems to reduce well-being; however, some people may find that bribes facilitate the access to public services with a corresponding well-being increase.

Latin America and Well-Being,there are other drivers of well-being which have not received the deserved attention. The Latin American case shows that the abundance of person-based interpersonal relationships is an important driver of well-being; policy-makers and governments from other regions of the world should incorporate this driver into their policy framework.

Income Poverty and Well-Being, well-being deprivation. Thus, it is important for policy makers to expand their perspective in order to go beyond the limited income-poverty conception and incorporate other well-being considerations in poverty-abatement programs.
