A Semantic Approach and a Web Tool for Contextual Annotation of Photos Using Camera PhonesotoMap, that provides automatic annotation about the spatial, temporal and social contexts of a photo (i.e., where, when, and who). PhotoMap uses the Web Services and Semantic Web reasoning methods in order to infer information about the taken photos and to improve both browsing and retrieval.

Querying Capability Modeling and Construction of Deep Web Sourcesquery which is a valid query with a minimal attribute set. We also provide an approach to construct the querying capability model automatically by identifying atomic queries for any given query interface. Our experimental results show that the accuracy of our algorithm is good.

A Domain-Driven Approach for Detecting Event Patterns in E-Markets: A Case Study in Financial Marketcution environment is proposed. We assess the performance of the system for a case study in financial market surveillance and its ability to provide a common interface for two existing EPSs – SMARTS and Coral8. A discussion on the experimental results and the issues arising from the proposed EPS architecture are also provided.

Time Filtering for Better Recommendations with Small and Sparse Rating Matrices quality of recommendation lists in such systems we introduce time heuristics into the recommendation process and propose two new variants of collaborative filtering algorithms for solving these problems. A time aware method is proposed for making more correct evaluations of recommenders used in domains with strong time dependencies.
