From Manual to Automated Optical Recognition of Ancient Coinsr ancient coins has been researched successfully. In this paper, we give an overview over the challenges faced by optical recognition algorithms. Furthermore, we show that image based recognition can assist the manual process of coin classification and identification by restricting the range of possible coins of interest.

Using a Dance Pad to Navigate through the Virtual Heritage Environment of Macquarie Lighthouse, Sydnigation. We discuss the outcomes of a pilot study and note a number of current limitations of the technology. Future research directions in the field of intuitive Human-Computer-Interaction devices in virtual heritage projects are also presented.

A View-Based Real-Time Human Action Recognition System as an Interface for Human Computer Interactiom that we achieved a high recognition rate for the five actions of walking, running, sitting, standing, and falling though each subject performed each action in a slightly different manner. The results also confirm that the proposed system can cope in real time with multiple persons.
