Der derzeitige Erforschungsstand der Trichopteren Österreichs author during the last seven years. Literature records and immature stages are not considered. A total of 256 species is actually known from Austria; the respective numbers for the regions are given in Tab. 1, the complete list in Tab. 2. About 30 additional species are expected to be found in the next years in Austria.

Über die Sciomyziden-Fauna (Diptera) der Baltischen Sowjetrepubliken (which are listed), in Lithuania 49 species, and in Latvia 54 species are actually known; in the sum of the three countries there are 71. The difference in the numbers is explained by different collecting activity. The faunae are compared with those of other European regions. Phenological data are presented.

Die Wertung der Vorkommensfrequenz der Gallmücken (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae)Cecidomyiidae are a good object for exact faunistical research, because their galls remain on the host plants and can be found during the whole vegetation period, and because their frequence can also be exactly defined, e.g. by the formula . Fig. 1 and 2 show the localities in Czechoslovakia which have been investigated in this way.
