Gravity: The Optimal Curvature,Till date the theory of gravity went to the farthest on the way to interpret motion in terms of geometry: changing position does not happen in a separate time, but space and time follow a common, 4-dimensional geometry (special relativity) and the left alone bodies in this spacetime follow shortest paths, i.e. geodesics (general relativity).

Electrodynamics: Forces, Fields, Waves,It is not customary in university courses to derive electrodynamics from a variational principle. Nevertheless two of the Maxwell equations, those with a source term, and the light and radio wave propagation equations can be obtained from a single variational principle.
