Towards the Electric Cell-Substrate Impedance Sensing (ECIS) Technique as a Monitor of Effects in Mchanges upon the exposure of a cell culture to low-frequency magnetic fields; we report on many technical details and difficulties that we found along the way; and we discuss the results of our first test of the system with actual cell cultures. Future work is discussed.

Design and Characterization of a Volume-Cycled Small Animal Mechanical Ventilator Coupled with a Reers were compared to values obtained with theoretical mathematical models. A 12.7% maximum deviation was found in the model’s elastance in comparison with the predicted value, and the measured resistance did not assume the expected behavior of a linear system, decreasing sharply with the increase of frequency.

Surface EMG Multichannel Measurements Using Active, Dry Branched Electrodes,tage gain of 4 , allowing for a ±550 mV electrode offset. The device bandwidth ranges from DC to 500 . with a 2000 . sampling rate. The CMRR is 90 . further improved by an independent DRL circuit with gain above 30 . at 50 .. Multichannel EMG measurements were successfully conducted and example results are shown.

Optical Absorption Coefficients of Gold Nanorods through Acoustic Waves in an Optical Hyperthermia nals and their absorption coefficients is performed in a phantom based in a neutral gelatin system, in order to able to identify and quantify the influence of these acoustic waves in cell death in optical hyperthermia essays.
