Unfamiliar Landscapes: An Introduction,are perceived as unfamiliar in some landscapes, whether due to gender, race, class or other forms of social difference, and how this book turns to the experiences of marginalised young people in the outdoors to better understand them. To guide readers, this chapter summarises the book as a whole, explaining each theme and chapter in turn.
