Assessment of Benefits from Ultrasonic Coal-Wash (USCW),thod can be used to control particulate and sulfur emissions prior to coal combustion. This investigation (USCW) has been primarily focused on these issues. Outcome of these studies has been presented earlier in this thesis. The issue of scale-up to production quantities will be discussed in this chapter.

Introduction, large that it is not easy to utilize ash effectively. Fly-ash is the finely divided mineral residue resulting from the combustion of ground or powdered coal in electricity generating plant. It consists of inorganic matter present in the coal that has been fused during coal combustion.
