Generation of a Frequency Chirped Pulse Using Phase Velocity Transitions in a Rapidly Created Plasmarce wave by about 40%. Moreover, frequency components which are up-shifted as high as 80% are also recorded. A theoretical model is developed to simulate the experiment. The numerical result is in good agreement with the experimental observation.
