Facing up Social Activity Recognition Using Smartphone Sensorssensors as a proxy for inferring social activity. For this purpose, we discuss the common defining characteristics of these establishments and the sensors we will use to recognize them. After that, we introduce the design of our system. Finally, we present the preliminary evaluation carried out to assess the validity of our proposal.

RBox: An Experimentation Tool for Creating Event-Driven Recommender Algorithms for Web 2.0, this tool enables reusing algorithms and executing experiments that were originally intended for a specific application domain, for other ones. Finally, considering RS tools’ limitations, the next versions of RBox will integrate ubiquitous computing and context-aware recommender systems.
