Das vollautomatische photographische Zenit-Teleskop und der numerierende Chronograph des Observatornographs bei den Beobachtungen am Astrolab Danjon verwendet. Er druckt unmittelbar nach jedem Sterndurchgang seine Bemittelte Durchgangszeit. Die kommerzielle Herstellung des Gerätes wird vom Département Oscilloquartz der Firma Ebauches S. A., Neuchâtel, unternommen.

Digitizing and automatic reduction of 21-cm line observations, made at Dwingeloo, Netherlands,A simple method — now in use since the beginning of 1961 — for recording 21-cm line observations in machine readable form is described. For the standard reduction from receiver output to calibrated observation, the present machine programme improves the ratio between reduction time and observation time by a factor of the order of 10.

The problem of de-smoothing of 21 cm observations,The problem of de-smoothing of data without affecting the observational errors is treated under the assumption of a gaussian smoothing function. For special cases a technique of de-smoothing by solving the integral equation governing the smoothing exactly for simple local approximations to the observed curve is suggested.
