Soil Microbiota and Mechanisms of Plant Parasitic Nematode Suppressionf these microbes act as endoparasites of nematodes that produce toxins to kill their host. Others capture and kill the target organisms. Understanding the mechanism of action of these suppressors provides crucial insights to develop suitable bio-control agents for PPN management.

Towards Innovative Strategies for Plant-Parasitic Nematodes Biocontrol in Olive Tree Nurseriesungi, those which form nematode traps are of particular interest. In this chapter, we also summarize biological control methods that may directly and indirectly impact PPN. The potential applications of such understandings to control phytophagous soil nematodes are also discussed.

Fungal Antagonists and their Effectiveness to Manage the Rice Root-knot Nematode, may contribute substantially to manage RRKN with multifarious actions. Application of FAs viz., . spp., .. ., . spp., ., ., . (= .) ., ., . spp., etc. may reduce RRKN population and reproduction, while increasing rice production. An in-depth and critical study of FAs and their possible utilization in RRKN management are presented in this chapter.
