Discussion,This chapter compares the Ophiuchus, Taurus and Cepheus Flare regions. An evolutionary model for initially pressure-confined starless cores is proposed and discussed. A modified and expanded version of the second half of this chapter has been published by Pattle (2016), Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, vol. 459, p. 4255.
