Wittgenstein: Meaning and Circumstances,s words and on the way these words are combined. It depends on nothing else. What we do with a sentence, when we utter the words that make it up, depends on its meaning and on what we want to say. But its meaning is logically prior to what we do with it. This meaning is written into the symbol and is independent of what we do with the symbol.
