Phases in Gauge Theories,rgy scale. Given the (effective) gauge theory, its large distance properties (phase structure, symmetry realization etc.) are determined by the structure of the vacuum. In these lectures I would like to concentrate on two aspects of the vacuum structure in gauge theories (without and with fermions).
