Spin-Observables for the , Reactions at 400 MeV,rticles.. However, the non-relativistic impulse approximation (NRIA) is not to be discounted; indeed, it does as well as the RIA (or in some cases even better) for elastic scattering. and inelastic scattering to the first excited 2. states for light even-even nuclei. at incident proton energies between 130 and 400 MeV.

(p,n) Measurements Above 200 MeV and the Isovector Effective NN Interaction, for the Fermi transition (0. state at 2.31 MeV), which is driven by the isovector non-spinflip part of the interaction (..), falls drastically relative to the Gamow-Teller (GT) transition (1. state at 3.95 MeV), which is driven by the isovector spinflip part (..).

New Neutron Time-of-Flight (NTOF) Facilities at the Brookhaven 200-MeV Linac, 0, 12, 30, 45, 90, and 135°. Lower energies of 93, 117, 139, 161, and 181 MeV are also available as well as polarized beams at much reduced intensities. The present paper describes the new facilities, and the capabilities of future improvements and upgrades, for use in the BNL intermediate energy (p,n) experimental program.

Spin-Isospin Excitations in Nuclei and (p,n) Reactions,finite Fermi-systems (TFFS). The model was applied to the calculation of angular distributions for bound and resonance states, inclusive energy spectra of neutrons and spin observables for some closed shell nuclei.
