Cerberus - a tool for debugging distributed algorithmshe tool takes a high-level abstract description of the algorithm, and an even more abstract requirements specification; it simulates an execution until a discrepancy arises between algorithm and specification; it then assist the developer to explore backwards and forwards through the execution till the error is understood.

A hierarchical classification of overheads in parallel programsial overheads, which facilitate the analysis of parallel programs on a wide variety of parallel architectures by providing a flexible framework for describing performance behaviour. The issue of measuring the various classes of overhead is also addressed, with a view to improving the utility of performance analysis tools.
