Introduction,This book is written in two major parts. The first part includes the introductory chapters consisting of Chaps. 1 through 8. In part two, Chaps. 9-26, we present the applications.

Simulation,Now we come to the point were we need to select simulation software to do all the crisp simulations staring in Chap. 7. The author is not an expert in simulation and does not know about all the products that are available. We will do a “search” for simulation products.

Simulation Optimization,In this chapter we discuss how we plan to solve the optimization problems attached to the simulation as expressed in (5-4)-(5-5) in Chap. 5, or (7-20)-(7-21) in Chap.7, without the use of a one-step function. Consider the fuzzy system of Chap. 5, shown in Fig. 5.1, and the servers S41,S42,S43.

Inventory Control I,This single item multi-period inventory model is shown in Fig. 16.1. This problem will be expanded and also studied in the next chapter. These inventory control models may be found in most operation research books ([2], Chap. 14) and is chapter is modelled after the paper [1].
