A New Class of Paramagnetics: 1,2,5-Chalcogenadiazolidyl Salts as Potential Building Blocks for Mol, with special emphasis on their design, synthesis, and characterization using X-ray diffraction, EPR spectroscopy and magnetometry in combination with DFT and post-HF calculations. Prospects of the salts as building blocks for molecular magnets and conductors are discussed.

Redox and Related Coordination Chemistry of PNP- and PCP-Bridged Selenium and Tellurium-Centred Ligtion complexes of these multi-chalcogen-centred ligands with coinage metals are discussed. DFT calculations provide insights into the different behaviour of the N- and C-bridged anions upon oxidation, as well as an understanding of the nature of the elongated chalcogen-chalcogen bonds that are a common feature for both systems.

Recent Developments in the Lewis Acidic Chemistry of Selenium and Tellurium Halides and ,-Halides,cogen .-halides, where X is an anionic leaving group is presented. Employing these .-halides can eliminate pathways for side reaction, and are easily displaced allowing for the isolation of a variety of highly charged homoleptic coordination complexes.
