Network Aspects of Dynamic Satellite Multimedia Systems, both local and global level, although the scope for deployment of such systems in the early phase (2000+) will be limited to densely populated and affluent areas, resulting in a potential requirement for wireless access technologies which can connect users to the network in other areas.

Conclusions and Future Actions,cial systems propose a possible portable implementation up to 2 Mb/s. As far as time scales are concerned UMTS will be operational by 2002 and the second generation of LEO and GEO satellites will address to the mobile/portable multimedia market in the 2002–2010.
