Large saline lakes of former USSR: a summary review,engiz. They range in salinity from sometimes <3g 1. to 19g1.. The paper provides a summary review of their major physico-chemical and biological features. Several are threatened by activities in their drainage basins, particularly diversion of inflowing waters.
