Stability of Rotors, information about the parameters influencing the stability. This chapter treats the special system of a rigid rotor, running in two oil film bearings. The equations of motion are derived and the stability behavior is evaluated by means of the complex eigenvalues. Analysis results show a good correlation with measurement results from a test rig.
