,Structural determinants of scorpion toxin affinity: The charybdotoxin (α-KTX) family of K+-channel ovided a large amount of information about the structure of the outer vestibule of cloned channels. More recently the toxins have been useful in classifying the types of K. channels that are present in several native preparations.

K+ channels and colonic function,eral recent findings speak in favour of the existence of modular channels consisting of several different subunits and regulatory proteins. The concerted application of molecular biology and epithelial physiology might help to discover the co-operating proteins.
