Resonances and semiclassical analysis,ances as Planck‘s constant tends to zero. Some works together with Gérard are presented for the first time. The problem of a potential well in an island is treated with the general theory presented. Some results on the estimates of the number of resonances are finally described

(.) = (.. - ..). is shown to have an analytic continuation .from C. to the region .. = {.‖ ‖ arg .‖ < b, -a < .. < 0} as an operator from the exponentially weighted space ..(..) to .., − α(..). Resonances of (.., ..) in .. are then defined as poles of (1 + ..(.). and identified with poles of the .-matrix of (.., ..).

Resonance state expansions in nuclear physics,also a selected set of resonance states. This requires regularization of certain divergent radial integrals, methods for which are briefly described. As an illustration, the derivation of the Breit-Wigner formula using a resonance state expansion is sketched.
