Dream Behavior and Dream Content in Healthy Persons,dreaming, for example, emotional intensity of the waking-life experience or the type of the waking-life activity (studying vs. meeting with friends). Also, gender differences in dream content seem to be continuous to gender differences found in waking life.

Dreams and Mental Disorders,l disorder like depression or schizophrenia? The findings clearly indicate that the waking-life symptoms of the patients show up in their dreams like negatively toned dream in depressed patients or bizarre dreams in patients with schizophrenia. Also in patients with sleep disorders (insomnia, narcolepsy) dreaming is altered.

Definitions,Dreams are recollections of experiences that occurred during sleep after awakening. Although this definition sounds simple, there are some subtleties to consider, for example, might dreams originate during the brief awakening process and not reflecting the experiences occurred during sleep.
