Statistics Education in the Philippines: Curricular Context and Challenges of Implementationr the probability component at the elementary level, this paper describes the intended statistics and probability curriculum and the challenges of implementation, including a lack of resources and the need for teacher professional development, and presents an example of a five-year project intended to meet these challenges.

Reading and Interpreting Distributions of Numerical Data in Primary Schoola pre-and post-test, written work sheets, and an evaluation survey at the end of the teaching-learning unit. The results show that the competencies of the young learners concerning reasoning about distributions of numerical data improved over time throughout the teaching-learning experiment.
