描述The book demonstrates an evidence-based approach to online memory practices of World War II. Network analysis is applied to reduce a massive and unreadable dataset of forum texts and user relations. Further, the results are combined with other text analysis methods, such as topic modeling and contrastive stylometric analyses. A sample of discussions from each group is read and categorized. Based on the results, the forum users‘ memory practices are labelled as empirical, conversational and conservational practices, whereby recent theoretical developments in Memory Studies are considered.

The Axis History Forum as a Network, sult of the Louvain modularity clustering algorithm is presented: The AHF network is divided into 10 large clusters and their posting timeframe as well as the location of the users are explored in the final part of the chapter.

Topic Modeling of the Axis History Forum Corpus, that are present within the corpus (while paying special attention to the reproducibility of the results). Finally the information on clusters and topics are combined in a term-overlap network, revealing that some clusters are more thematically coherent than others.

For this purpose, bimodal networks with users and threads of each cluster were created, enabling the assessment of each discu

How does AHF position itself within/among a multitude of other resources dedicated to the Axis Powers and World War II?, 2. What groups do users form through their interactions on the forum?, 3. What discussions do users engage in?
