Mean-Field Theory of Photo-Induced Structural Phase Transitionsupling between the local distortions plays a crucial role in inducing threshold behaviors to bring about the nonlinearity inhered in the system. Dependence of the switching dynamics on optical pumping and temperature is clarified, and the time-resolved emission spectra are also calculated with this model.

Then we focus on several typical cases and show potential surfaces to illustrate how the relaxation proceeds to the destination.
