Radiative Electron Capture,ions of momentum space results in REC dominating nonradiative capture at high energies (Eichler 1990). Energy and momentum conservation requires that a free electron must radiate in order to be captured, and so loosely bound electrons are more likely to participate in REC rather than in nonradiative transfer (Ichihara . 1994).
