Application of Transonic Inverse Method to the Development of Aerospace Products,en the specified and computed pressure distribution, starting from a baseline geometry..This paper shows two applicated examples of this inverse problem. One is for swept wing of typical civil transport. The other is for non-planar wing of H-II Orbiting Plane(HOPE) tipfin configuration.

Multi Objective Aerodynamic Optimisation by Means of Robust and Efficient Genetic Algorithm, thodologies the operators considered at present the most promising one are described. A simple mathematical test is used for preliminary algorithmic perfomance while in more applicative cases the pressure reconstruction problem of two conflicting aerodynamic profiles is used as benchmark. A full pot

Subsonic Aerodynamic Design Via Optimization,of attack. Effects of flaps deflection can be incorporated and the induced drag can be minimized. A higher order panel method is applied to perform flow analysis. Flaps deflection is simulated by modifying a Neumann boundary conditions. In the design case the geometry which minimizes differences bet

Numerical Methods for Inverse Solution in Aerodynamic Design of Turbomachinery, function(SF) method of two different kinds of stream surfaces, which are usually assumed for the design in turbomachinery, stream-function-coordinate(SFC) method for two-dimensional and three-dimensional flows, potential function(PF) method and the method based on the direct solution with a residual

Inverse Blade Design Based on Permeable Wall Concept,ed how the permeable wall concept can be used to define the blade modifications required to obtain the target performances with a small number of iterations. It is shown how the method can be combined with potential flow methods, Euler and Navier Stokes solvers. Each method is illustrated with examp
