Socialism, Marxism, and Neo-Marxism,nception of history when interpreted as promising inevitable and imminent socialism. Specifically I outline some of the major theoretical concepts of Gramsci and Althusser. To illustrate the efficacy of these concepts, I outline some recent events in party politics in the U.K. and the U.S.

Implications for Multicultural Antiracist Socialist Practice in Educational Institutions,student empowerment. I go on to make suggestions for content, focusing on media education in order to resist processes of interpellation, and to be able to recognize and challenge hegemonic discourse; on multicultural antiracist education; and on political education.
