Atoms and Molecules,of Atomic and Molecular Physics focuses on the properties of one or more nuclei interacting with a cloud of electrons. We present prototypical examples (hydrogen atom, helium atom, hydrogen molecule, Stark and Zeeman effect) and discuss various approximation schemes.
