The Host Galaxies of Luminous Radio-Quiet Quasars suggested from studies of lower nuclear luminosity quasars and Seyfert galaxies. We show how simple theoretical models of quasar activity predict such a limit, and suggest how this picture must be changed in light of our results.

QSO Environments at Intermediate Redshiftsature, we find no evidence of an evolution in the environment with epoch. Instead, a weak, but significant correlation between quasar radio luminosity and environmental richness is present. It is thus possible that the environments of quasars, at least the powerful ones, do not evolve much between the present epoch and . ≈ 0.8.

Adaptive-Optics Imaging of Low and Intermediate Redshift Quasarseveal bars and spiral arms. The morphology of the other objects are difficult to determine from one dimensional fit to the host galaxies; deeper images are needed..Analysis of mocked data shows that elliptical galaxies are always recognized as such, whereas disk hosts can be missed for small disk scale lengths and large QSO contributions.

The Radio Loudness Dichotomy: Environment or Black-Hole Mass?s. Our results suggest that a black-hole mass of ~ 10. M. is required to produce a powerful radio-loud quasar, and that it is black-hole mass and accretion rate which hold the key to the radio-loudness dichotomy.
