Reactions Involving Selenoxides and Related Derivatives,selenenic acids and olefins [*61, *62, *63, *64, *88], have been used for the oxidation of several functional groups. Dibenzyl- or dimethyl selenoxides were found to be stronger oxidizing agents than the diphenyl analogue [249]. In several instances the presence of an acid was essential for the success of the reaction.
