Enantioselective Synthesis by Lithiation Adjacent to Oxygen and Subsequent Rearrangement,s field is presented. The first section concerns asymmetric Wittig rearrangements. Asymmetric retro-Brook rearrangements are then covered, followed by rearrangements of phosphate to phosphonate. The last section reviews asymmetric rearrangements of lithiated epoxides.

Enantioselective Synthesis by Lithiation to Generate Planar or Axial Chirality,laying these stereochemical features are ferrocenes, arenechromium tricarbonyl complexes, biaryls, atropisomeric amides and allenes. Methods for the enantioselective lithiation of these compound classes, relying on either substrate (chiral auxiliary) or reagent (chiral base) control will be reviewed
