Knowledge of neutrophil and platelet thresholds, requiring prophylaxis and transfusion, respectively, is a likewise key point of understanding. This chapter reviews the outpatient oral maxillofacial management of a subset of hematologic malignancies, disorders of platelets and clotting factors, and disorders of red blood cells.
