Ultraviolet Scattering Communication Channels,ter-symbol interference and bandwidth limitation resulting from frequency-dispersive nature of NLOS-UV channel, performances may be also degraded by high path losses and turbulence-induced fading as the link range increases. This chapter provides an overview of latest advances in NLOS-UV channel modeling and results.

Cooperative Visible Light Communications,ormance of the system is optimized through a subcarrier-based power allocation mechanism. Numerical results incorporating practical issues such as band-limited channel process and imperfect channel estimation reveal that cooperative VLC systems can significantly outperform the conventional point-to-point VLC systems.

Mixed RF/FSO Relaying Systems,ity are presented. The effects of atmospheric turbulence strength, pointing errors standard deviation, number of relays and rank of selected relay, are observed, considering the effect of time correlation between current and outdated CSI of the source-relay channel.
