Modelling of system impairments due to Four Wave Mixing in Dispersion Shifted links having non unifo Obtained results show a decrease of the system penalty for increased fluctuations. However this is not a monotonic behavior, as resonance peaks can be observed. Monte Carlo simulations are also carried out, that give for the first time the estimation of the probability distribution function of the system penalty.
