Ocean Models in Climate Problems,l lowfrequency variability of the thermohaline circulation have been found in numerical models and are reviewed. Most of these models leave out presumably important feedbacks; they must be extended into coupled process models to investigate large-scale ocean-atmosphere interactions more fully.
