Therapeutic nursing: theory, issues and practice, increased self care ability, self esteem and self determination. Therapeutic nursing is about that dynamic process, which is not merely supportive of the work of others but is potentially a major force in achieving health for the patient.

Patient education in therapeutic nursing, acute phase of ill health and the third with helping patients to prevent recurrence. The implications for teaching are self evident in such an approach but particularly conspicuous in the primary and tertiary phases of care.
