Numerical Simulation of Turbulent Flows in Complex Geometries Using the Coherent Vortex Simulation Ar of . = 0.6 have been calculated based on the developed wavelet decomposition models. The extensive results presented show the robustness and good accuracy of the adopted wavelet approach for the various flows simulated.

Wall Scaling and Wall Models for Complex Turbulent Flowse buffer and log-layer is dependent on empirical formulations. The significance of the wall scaling is shown by carefully carried out Direct Numerical Simulations and Large-Eddy Simulations of incompressible and compressible separated flows.

Fluid-Acoustic Coupling and Wave Propagation order methods for unstructured grids. The proposed methods are validated and applied to complex test cases such as the simulation of an aero-engine inlet and the scattering of sound waves at a solid sphere.

Numerical Simulation of Jet Mixing Noise Associated with Engine Exhausts single-stream jet and for a coplanar, coaxial, unheated jet flow are presented. The results of the Detached-Eddy Simulation of the latter case are compared with those of a Large- Eddy Simulation of the same configuration.
