Radiative Transfer with Finite Elements: Application to the Ly, Emission of High-Redshift Galaxies,ually fragment. The finite element method is an appropriate tool to study resonance lines in such an environment, where strong density gradients occur. Recent results are discussed for the shell model and its application to individual high-redshift galaxies.

Radiative Transfer in 4D: The Inclusion of Kinematical Information,cs of dusty galaxies. As an application we demonstrate that dust absorption and scattering have significant effects on the observed kinematics of elliptical galaxies. In particular, scattering by dust grains can form an alternative explanation for the stellar kinematical evidence of dark matter haloes around elliptical galaxies.

The Solution of the Radiative Transfer Equation in Axial Symmetry,.Our method is suitable for studying the stellar wind with rotation, where the symmetry of the problem is naturally axial. Results of test calculations are shown for the case of a stellar wind of a typical B star.

Radiative Transfer Problem in Dusty Galaxies: Ray-Tracing Approach,spectrophotometric modelling of disk galaxies, however, it can be easily adapted to other cases that require a detailed spatial evaluation of scattering, such as circumstellar disks and shells using both point and distributed light sources.
