High Performance Computer Codes and their Application to Optimize Crystal Growth Processes, IIIof crystal growth like global simulation of bulk crystal growth and vapor phase epitaxy, phase transition problems, as well as new methods for high performance three-dimensional flow simulation. The different numerical codes applied were developed in a complementary way to cover a wide range of aspects important for crystal growth.

Adaptive Multigrid Computations of Multiphase Flowsther a linear or spline interface approximation. Anomalous currents around bubbles are significantly reduced with help of cubic spline interpolants. The simulations of buoyant bubbles are compared with known theoretical, numerical and experimental results.

Turbulence Model Sensitivity Study for Bluff Body Stabilized Flames simulation results are compared to experimental measurements of mixture fraction, velocity field, temperature and constituent mass fractions. The results indicated that the Explicit Algebraic Stress Model (EASM) performs superior and mimics most of the significant flow features.
