Geometric concepts and methods in nonlinear elliptic Euler-Lagrange Equations,sponding elliptic Euler-Lagrange equations, whose gradients satisfy some prescribed limitations. Such problems arise in the calculus of variations, differential geometry and continuum mechanics. Typical examples of these problems are presented in Section 3.

Remarks on Saddle Points in the Calculus of Variations,an analogy for saddle points. We shall prove two existence theorems for saddle points for certain functionals. The first is based on the Von Neumann-Sion-Ky Fan theorem [1], and the second is an application of a local minimax theorem due to S.Z. Shi and the author [5].
