The Rate of Supernovae in Normal Galaxieslaxy is known. Constraints to the models are the present chemical content of galaxies but also the present observed SN rate (Arimoto & Yoshi, 1987; Ferrini & Poggianti, 1993; Matteucci, 1994; Renzini ..., 1993; Bressan ..., 1994; Elbaz .., 1995).

Disky Ellipticals in the Hubble Sequencehas been suggested that disky ellipticals form together with S0s and spirals a continuous transition in D/B ratio in the Hubble sequence (Bender 1988b, Nieto 1988). However, until the present, this hypothesis had not been investigated throughout.

Recent Progress in the Search for Black Holes in Galactic Nucleiremarkably well. N-body simulations of an edge-on .(..) model for M32 show that this model is stable. HST spectra should soon provide new and improved constraints on the presence of BHs in quiescent galaxies.
