Liver regeneration with the resolution of fibrosis by bone marrow cell infusion therapysurvival rate. Recent our finding indicates that mesencymal bone marrow cells will differentiate to hepatocytes and FGF2 will accelerate this differentiation of BMC to hepatocyte. Based on the results obtained in basic research using the GFP/CCl. model, human trials are now undergoing.

TNF-α mobilizes bone marrow derived cells to vascular wall, resulting in neointima formation throughafter the injury, developed neointimal area was smaller in KO. Furthermore, re-endothelialization appeared earlier in KO than WT. Conclusion: TNF-α is involved in neointimal formation after vascular injury, possible through its inflammatory effects to induce bone marrow cells.

Hepatocyte transplantation for liver diseaseindicate that Htx increases survival of acute liver failure patients and partially or completely corrects metabolic liver disease. These promising results suggest that Htx could be an inexpensive and effective treatment for liver disease. Clinical programs are now established in at least 13 different centers in 9 different countries.
