Capillary Permeability in Central and Peripheral Nerve Tissue in Streptozotocin Diabetes in the Anaential functional changes in the capillaries of the brain after a long period in untreated diabetes. In co-operation with Professor Sue Lightman of the Institute of Ophthalmology, Moorfields Eye Hospital, University of London, we carried out a study lasting over 14 months after streptozotocin administration.

Blood-Brain Barrier Sodium Transport and Brain Edema Formation,, sodium and chloride must traverse an intact BBB. Thus, identification of the processes which mediate sodium and chloride transport across the brain capillary endothelial cells could lead to new therapy for cytotoxic brain edema through inhibition of BBB ion transport.
