X-Ray Fluorescence — an International Calibration Methods are calibrated against some standard method. The standard method should be simple and subject to minimum error. The estimation of sulfur dioxide and particulate matter by X-ray fluorescence seems to fulfill this condition, hence it may be adopted as an International Calibration Method.
